I was looking through the Kids Choice Awards nominees and couldn't believe some of the names I saw.These people are the role models that kids are looking up to.

Kid Rock, T Pain, Rihanna, Beyonce( she won for single ladies, what do kids know about that?), Katy Perry's song"I Kissed a girl", Pussy Cat Dolls, Michael Phelps and ,of course, Chris Brown opted to drop out.

What happened to people like The Obama's, Mary J Blige, Geaorge Clooney, Ben Affleck, Salma Hayek, Oprah?Are they too boring?

No, the ppl you listed in the 3rd paragraph are just older. I didn't check the list or kids choice award people, but from what you listed, they are just closer in age and what's "in". I understand though.... I don't even watch the kid choice awards though, do you? Although, I do watch Oprah every now and again, watch movies with Ben Afleck, luv listen to my Mary J. Blige CDs, and keep up with the President via news broadcastings.

Quite simply....kid choice awards are reflective of wat is in the radio or mtv or what have u and is a regurgitation of wats popular irrespective of raciness or underlying morality of their content...infact the amount of moral deviance in these pop culture media is congruent with their popularity in these awards....the above mentioned ben affleck et al..simply do not connect with todays kids...hence are not their choice
